Telecommunication sector:
- Preparation, organization, institutional and operational establishment of the abolishment of monopoly of state enterprises in telecommunications and postal services.
- Ensuring transposition and implementation of the relevant EC regulations and directives such as: Creation of the legal framework (1998) that ensured the start of full operations of the independent regulatory authority in telecommunications and postal services; Coordination and drafting of the New Telecommunications Act (2000) for the liberalised telecommunication and postal sector in Greece in full compliance with EC legislation; - Creation of the legal framework for the provision of liberalised services in voice telephony and the mobile telephony operators; implementation of the EC Data Protection Directive.
- Head of the Greek Delegation in consultations with the Black Sea countries (including Russia) for the promotion of the optical cable system network (1998-2000).
- Monitoring the negotiations between Greek Telecoms and Serbia Telecoms for establishing partnership under competitive conditions in the opening telecommunications market of Serbia.
