One of the Last-Minute Withdrawn Prototypes for a First FYROMian Banknote
Description: avers of a 20 staters banknote. Commissioned by Pseudomacedonian politicians during an undefined date (late 1990, early 1991?) by a designer who worked on its design in secrecy. Unknown number of professional-grade specimens were printed but its adoption as a national currency of Yugoslavia-independent FYROM was withdrawn, after its politicians realized that the choice of currency's name and design would be too provocative.
The text reads (from top to bottom):
(Narodna banka na Makedonija)" - National Bank of Macedonia
02.08.1991
(Dvaeset stateri)“ - Twenty staters
(Guverner)“ - Governor (most likely; unreadable)
